Howie Lipkowitz, COTA/L


Howie joined Premier Rehab, Inc., in April 2016 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Aide as an intern. Upon completion of the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Keiser University, he took the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) board exam in July 2016. Upon passing the exam, Howie is now a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In addition to Premier Rehab, internships included Indigo Manor and Stewart Marchman Act Behavioral Healthcare (both in Daytona Beach, FL), and Genesis Rehab at Grand Villa and Whispering Meadows Ranch (both in Ormond Beach, FL). Prior to entering healthcare, Howie spent ten years in retail including a major electronics and appliance store in Orlando, and Sanford along with other retail and customer service rolls. As an Atlantic High School / Deltona High School alumni, he is an avid sports/wrestling fan and his favorite teams include the Orlando Magic, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Lighting and Tampa Bay Ray, and the Florida State Seminoles. How is involved locally in his community and participates with Boys and Girls Club of Sanford, Habitat for Humanity, and Easter Seals. He is married with two young boys and enjoys managing his son’s baseball team, and spending time with his family.
